College: Second-year member of the BC Women's Basketball team. 2022-2023... named CUNYAC Player of the Year...averages 22.0 points per contest, ranked seventh in the country, and leads the nation in steals (140) and steals per game (5.8), recording 14 games of five or more steals and three games with at least 10. 2021-22...Named 1st Team CUNYAC All-Star, 2nd Team All-ECAC, and 2nd Team All-Region....Led nation in steals (4.57spg)....Averaged 13.0 ppg and 5.6 rpg...Led CUNYAC in assists (131) ....Helped team to CUNYAC Championship and first win in program history in NCAA Tournament...Transfer from the University of Bridgeport.  

High School: Attended Oyster Bay HS.  Top-20 all-time leading scoring list on Long Island.  

Personal: Majoring in Communications.   

Coach Lang Says: "Gianna was great for us in her first season a year ago, but she worked hard to be that much better as a senior. She is having one of the best seasons that anyone has had in a Brooklyn College uniform, and leading the team to a great year in doing so.  Gianna can make plays on both sides of the ball, using her tremendous speed, strength and balance to dominate.  Her mid-range jumper is amazing, while her handle is second to none, but her best ability on the court is her anticipation, ability to get steals and convert those into transition layups."
