Brooklyn, NY----Announced by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) on Tuesday, Brooklyn junior,
Medina Kuc, and freshman,
Aniyah James, have been named the conference's Women's Tennis Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively. The duo helped Brooklyn to a 2-0 record in conference play last week.
Kuc didn't lose a game in singles on the week, scoring a (6-0, 6-0) victory at the No. 2 slot against York on Tuesday before rolling to a straight-set shutout (6-0, 6-0) at No. 3 singles at Albertus Magnus on Saturday. She also picked up a pair of victories at No. 1 doubles on the week.
James went undefeated on the week in singles and doubles. She scored a 6-0 victory in No. 2 doubles before winning (6-0, 6-4) in No. 1 singles against York at home on Tuesday. James closed out the week with a 6-0 victory in No. 2 doubles and a (6-0, 6-1) win at No. 1 singles at Albertus Magnus on Saturday.
The Bulldogs continue conference play at Lehman on Tuesday, 9/30, at 3:30 pm.
