Madison, NJ---The Brooklyn College women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at FDU-Florham on Tuesday. BC moves to 0-2 to start the season while the Devils improve to 1-1 with the victory at home. Next Up: Brooklyn travels to Newburgh, NY on Saturday, 9/14, for a 1pm non-conference match-up against Mt. St. Mary College.
How It Happened
- The home team took all three doubles matches. Brooklyn's Nora Zhu and Oleksandra Shablii put up a fight at No. 3 doubles, but eventually fell, 6-3.
- FDU would go on to win at the No. 1, 2, 3, 6 slots in singles. BC's Rebecca Finner was victorious at No. 4 singles (6-1, 6-3). Zhu would win the first set at No.5 singles (6-3) before winning by walkover with the score tied 2-2 in the second set.
