Biography

College: Third-year member of the BC Women's Basketball team. In 2017-18, was named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association First Team All-Star, CUNYAC First Team All-Star, and to D3Hoops.com Atlantic All-Region Third Team. Recorded the first triple-double of her collegiate career on Jan. 13, 2018 against Baruch with 19 points, 11 assists and 10 steals. Averaged 13.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 3.4 steals per game. In 2016-17, named CUNYAC second team All-Star. Averaged 9.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. In 2015-16, played in 29 games making 14 starts. Named the 2016 ECAC Metro/Upstate Tournament Most Outstanding Player helping the Bulldogs to their second championship in a row. Averaged 8.5 ppg, 5.2 rpg, and 4.9 apg. Also averaged 2.2 spg defensively. Scored a career-high 19 points  In 2014-2015, played in 26 games, making 11 starts; Averaged 2.7 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.4 apg while playing 16.9 mpg. Helped lead the team to an ECAC Division III Metro Championship.

High School: Attended Eleanor Roosevelt... Four-year member of the girl's varsity basketball team. Named the team rookie of the year and totaled 1,042 career points, 425 career rebounds and 249 career assists. Played one season on the girl's varsity tennis team.

Personal: Parents are Shao Qin Mak and Chi Kwan Mak... Born in 1996... Majoring in Physical Education. Nickname is KMak.

Coach Lang Says:  "Karen is one of our seniors, a tri-captain and a tremendous talent.  I don't see any reason why she won't have a tremendous senior year.  She can do it all and looks even sharper in her senior year."
