Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Basketball Team (15-5, 9-1) won their tenth straight on Wednesday night as they pulled away in the second half to cruise to an 84-66 road win over Medgar Evers (10-12, 4-6 CUNYAC).

The Bulldog trio of Richard Jean-Baptiste (St. John's Prep / Brooklyn, NY), Daniel Nisbett (Petrides / Brooklyn, NY) and Amil John (South Shore / Brooklyn, NY) each scored 21 points a piece to combine for 63 of BC's 84 points.

Medgar Evers took control of the game early, taking a 10-2 lead just five minutes into the game. By the ten minute mark, the Bulldogs had settled and began to make their comeback. Amil John hit a layup to take the first Brooklyn lead of the game, 15-14, at the 10:49 mark. The teams would trade baskets for the rest of the half, which included five ties and and five lead changes. At the buzzer, the score was even, 32-32.

The Cougars would score the first basket of the second half, but wouldn't score again until the 16 minute mark thanks to untimely turnovers and poor shooting. While the Bulldog lead remained under five until the 13:40 mark, Brooklyn was in control of the game. With 12:37 left in the game, Darnell Cudjoe would hit a layup that started a 10-0 run for the Bulldogs, led by Jean-Baptiste. At the 10:09 mark, Medgar hit two free throws to drop the lead to 13, but the Bulldogs would go on a 7-0 run in the next 30 seconds. Nisbett hit a three to start the run and John added a layup anda pair of free throws.

With the Brooklyn lead at 20, the game was out of hand, and the Cougars never gained traction, with the deficit never dropping below 16.

Aside from the victory being Brooklyn's tenth straight, it was their ninth straight win in conference play.

Brooklyn will be back home on Saturday as they host City Tech at 3:00 pm in another matchup of Brooklyn schools.
