Patrick Horne joined the Brooklyn College Office of Recreation, Intramurals & Intercollegiate Athletics in March of 2012 to start the first ever BC Women's Soccer Program. Coach Horne’s relentless work the first two years of building the Bulldogs program has resulted in the Bulldogs contending for a CUNYAC Championship since the program's inception. Â
In 2013, just his second season at the helm of the program, Coach Horne led the Bulldogs to a 15-4 overall record, including capturing the CUNYAC title, receiving an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championships. For his efforts, Coach Horne was named the 2013 CUNYAC Coach of the Year.
The Bulldogs would repeat as CUNYAC champions in 2014, making their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance in only three years of existence as a program.Â
Coach Horne led the Bulldogs to a successful inaugural season in 2012, leading the team to a 6-7-1 overall record.Â
In 2015, Horne led the Bulldogs to a 5-11-2 record and a CUNYACÂ Championships semifinal appearance.Â
The Bulldogs would return to the CUNYAC Championship match in 2016 after winning the regular season conference title with a unblemished 6-0 record.  Horne would coach the 2016 CUNYAC Player of the Year, Jasmine Fermin, as well as three other First Team CUNYAC All-Stars.Â
Coach Horne brought a plethora of coaching and playing experience to Brooklyn; as he served as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at NCAA Division II Concordia College in Bronxville, NY from 2007-2011. While at Concordia, Coach Horne recruited, trained and mentored student-athletes as part of developing the women's program.
Prior to Concordia, Coach Horne spent one season (2006) as an Assistant Coach of the Women's Soccer team at Division II Molloy College in Rockville Center, NY, where he assisted in the overall preparation of the team, which culminated in Molloy making its first post-season appearance in the East Coast Conference. Molloy was a finalist in the ECAC tournament that year.
Other collegiate coaching stints for Horne include Globe Institute of Technology (Men's Head Coach, 2002-2006), Southampton College (Men's Head Coach, 2001) and SUNY College at Old Westbury (Men's Head Coach, 1997-2000).
Along with his extensive coaching resume at the college level, Coach Horne worked at the youth level. He was the Head Coach of the LIJSL Boys Select Teams U-15, U-17, as well as the Head Coach of the Baldwin Eagles Girls U-14 through U-17. Horne is a youth coach in the Grassroots Program with the New York Red Bulls of the MLS.
Prior to entering the coaching profession, Horne played professionally in both the North American Soccer League and the American Soccer League.
Horne received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville where he was a four-year member of the Men's Soccer team. He helped lead the team to a runner-up finish in the 1975 NCAA Division I Tournament.  The entire team would be named to the SIUE Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015. Â
Horne also has a Master of Science degree in Education from Alfred University and is a New York State certified English teacher. He is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) B License.
